48th Hyuga City Human Rights Lecture

The purpose of this course is to further promote human rights education ・ human rights awareness in order to respect the basic human rights of all people.

Respect for human rights" has become an international trend as the most important common recognition in countries around the world. In 1997, the City Council of Hyuga City adopted the "Declaration of a City that Respects Human Rights", and in 2008, the "Hyuga City Ordinance for the Creation of a City where the Human Rights of All People are Respected" came into effect. Aiming to create a "city of human rights" where each citizen is respected as an individual and can live happily, the city is working to resolve all human rights issues.
